ORLANDO, FL – “Drawing” a collection of some of the world's greatest animators to the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, the Disney Institute prepares to host its 5th Anniversary Animation Event August 18-23, 2002. During this enriching event, Disney Institute brings together animation enthusiasts with some of the top names in the world of professional animation.

After several attempts, the Disney villains have taken control over the event and are planning a wickedly fun time. Beware, for they are plotting new ways to subject you to a grueling schedule of workshops, artist presentations, and team projects. They will have you dreaming, theming, and scheming with other shady characters who are also interested in the torturous world of animation.

Over the event's five days, world-class animators share their real life secrets of producing outstanding animation as you take part in special presentations, attend screenings of Disney films, and team produce an animated short film. For the 5th anniversary event we will once again have the frightfully funny and always spellbinding Jeff Kurtti as our moderator. Jeff is a renowned animation historian and author of titles including Treasure Planet: The Legend, the Lore, and the Loot; Atlantis: Journal of Milo Thatch; and The Art of Mulan.

Register by May 1 and, as a special gift, you will receive a Limited Edition Walt Disney World illustration created by Don “Ducky” Williams. The cost for the 5th Anniversary Disney Institute Animation Event is $1,549* per person and includes the following: *Double occupancy for two people attending the event together and staying in the same room. Price for single occupancy is $1,906.97 per person.
